Why are we making the move to a USTA sponsored website?
The Spearfish Tennis association is moving to a new web site provided by the USTA. Doing this will help us communicate more effectively and keep track of annual memberships and USTA & STA programming/activities. We will still keep the old web site for other information.
At this time we are using three different databases to keep track of contacts, membership and program registration. The USTA site allows us to have all three under one site.
We are currently using Gmail for our contact information and keeping it updates has it challenges.
The USTA site allows people to update their information and also give the option to unsubscribe if they want.
Contacts have to option for become members.
We currently use a spreadsheet to keep track of our membership information.
The USTA site uses contact information to keep track of membership information and also sends out notices when it is time to renew your membership.
Your membership will be for 12 months based on the date you join
You will get a reminder when your membership is due for renewal.
NOTE: You do not have to have an STA membership to register on our site or to sign up for USTA or STA programs/activities. Members do get discounts for programs/activities that we charge for.
In the past we had online registration and payment on our STA site and had a seperate databas to keep track of participants.
The USTA site again uses contact information to register participants.
It also give us the options of keeping attendance, creating reports which is very helpful when filling out our annual Community Tennis Association report to the USTA.
